Heart Rate Back To Normal

::breathe, breathe::

OK, so I was almost ready to do this last summer but I procrastinated (typical me) and I decided that I was cutting it to short to find something I really wanted. Plus that gave me another year to get my down payment to a level I wanted. I'll easily be able to put down 10% and maybe as much at 15% when the time comes. I've been told that "that time" will be in June since I want to close in August. August is the magic date because I need to be out of my apartment by August 31.

Christie seems pretty cool. She brought me a lot of info and what not. She understands its the first time I'm buying a property and she seems ready to hold my hand through the process. To date my only criteria has been location -- Lincoln Park or Lakeview -- and I want a washer and dryer in unit.

I'm going to be adding central air to the criteria. She made a mental note of that.

I also told her that I'd like some kind of out door area where I can put a grill. I haven't had a place to grill for several years and I really miss it. She nodded and said she would remember that.

I then told her, "Oh yeah, I have a king sized bed." Out came the pen and paper! No small bedrooms for me.

Nothing confirmed yet but I think I'll be seeing my first set of condos next weekend, April 5th or 6th. The list she gave me is very sparse on the Lincoln Park area. There's just not that many listings in that meet my criteria and price range. Since the price range isn't going to change (come on Big Game!) I'm probably going to end up living in Lakeview or I'll have to compromise on the criteria. Maybe drop to a one bedroom.

Dammit! I need to be productive here at work but my mind just isn't in it right now.
