Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina suffered a mild concussion when during a 9th inning collision on 06/15. The throw came from first base and Molina didn't see the runner coming. He was taken to the hospital and was expected to stay over night. Most amazingly he held on to the ball to make the out.

A scary story. A 9 year old was hit by a baseball during batting practice at U.S. Cellular Park on June 4. There's a strong possibility he will need surgery to repair cracks in his skull. There's not enough information in the article to judge but every time I go to a game I see people in the line of fire not watching the game. And not just kids. It can be very, very dangerous along the sidelines.
