Revenue Enhancement
Last Tuesday at volleyball I had a conversation with the league coordinator. He told me that the city came to the company (Sports Monster) and told them that, up on further review, their league fees were subject to the city entertainment tax. The same tax you pay when you go to movies, the theater, sporting events, concerts, etc. So all the league costs essentially went up 9%. In addition the city told them they should have been paying all along so could we please have a 9% cut of your sales for the past two and half years, thank you very much.
How long until bars have to pay the 9% on cover charges?
