Pelosi Endorses Murtha

Rep. Nancy Pelosi of SanFran, the next Speaker of the House, has endorsed Rep. John Murtha for Majority Leader in the house. This sets up a potential battle with Steny Hoyer who is the current Minority Leader and has said he has the votes to be Majority Leader.

Now neither of these guys is the cleanest of leaders. In the house, only DeLay received more lobbyist money than Murtha Not that Steny did all that bad last year in his own fund raising.

I don't know that I have a dog in this fight but let me say this. I heard Murtha interviewed on NPR the morning after the election. The man sounded just plain dumb. I don't want him being out in front of the Democrats. Being a leading voice. It will do us no good.

NOTE: He sounds reasonable at the beginning but the most you listen to him the more you realize the man just doesn't have it.
