How Can We Serve You Better?
On May 31st I badly turned my left ankle. See here. The following day, June 1st, I went to Lincoln Park Hospital to have it checked out. It was as much pain as I've ever experienced.
Now I'm playing the dangerous game of not having medical insurance. I told the hospital staff that at the time and had my checkbook with me ready to pay for the services. They told me that they would send me a bill. They had my correct address so I painfully hobbled home.
Since then I've been waiting to receive the bill. Today I got the envelope with the LPH logo in the return address. Well, here it is. Is it going to be $1000? Maybe more? I apprehensively rip it open and what do I find... a customer satisfaction survey. The letter acompaning the survey starts with the line, "Our mission at Lincoln Park Hospital is to provide our patients with the highest quality health care that we can."
Fine. I accept that. But right about now their mission should be to get paid.
