Your Call Is Always Inconvenient For Me

I really hate people that have phone numbers that are strictly voice mail numbers. They give you a number to contact them, you call it, and there's no ringing. You just get dumped straight into their voice mail.

It is ultimately arrogant. "Here, you can call me if you want but I know your call will be inconvenient for me."

I had a land lord some years ago that did that. I didn't have to call him often but on a couple of occasions there were circumstances that required urgent action. I had to leave a message and he would get back to me when he could. Sometimes it took days.

It seems like the mortgage broker I'm using for this condo purchase does the same thing. I've called the main guy, Paul, a couple of times and always get his voice mail without hearing a single ring. His assistant, Lynn, left me a message after I left work last night. I called her back at about 8:30 and was dumped straight into email. Now, maybe she doesn't start work until 9:00 or later. I'll reserve judgment for the moment but it has me irked.
