Energy Policy
This has been gnawing at me, too. I know that the price of gasoline is hurting the average person. Personally, I'm fortuante to be in a position where I drive only about 3,000 or 4,000 miles a year. Gasoline prices are irrelvent to my financial situation right now. Still, when I spent $54 to fill up the tank last week it was a little shocking. I know it is hurting others in my family directly.
All the same, I see it as a necessary evil. Even with the current economic downturn (recession?) sustained higher energy prices are the only way we, as a society, will start the to change our life styles and our social and political policies to reduce energy consumption.
