Random Baseball
The Answer: Mark Hendrickson. The question: Who gave up Ken Griffey's 600th home run? Sammy Sosa is less than 20 HRs ahead of Junior now. Hopefully, Junior overtakes him this year.
Thankfully, the state of Illinois is not going to buy Wrigley Field. At least it doesn't look like it at the moment. They were going to use some kind of TIF district which politicians tell you don't raise taxes. In fact, they do. But this is about baseball, not politics, so I'll stop the dissertation.
Fu-u-u-u-u-u-u-udge! But I didn't say fudge.
As of 06/11 the Reds have surrendered the most home runs (89) in the National League. Just another data point that Dusty Baker doesn't have the first clue how to manage a pitching staff.
Also on 06/11, three complete games that I'm aware of. Jason Verlander of the Detroit Tigers pitched a 1 run, 4 hit complete game as against the White Sox. Converted closer Ryan Dempster went the distance for the Cubbies allowing only two runs. And not to be out done, Cardinals pitcher Brandon Looper pitched a complete game shut out against the Reds. Looper only gave up 3 hits and surrendered 0 walks.
