In Effigy

Let's be clear. There really is no place for this in a polite society. I'll acquiesce to the local sheriff when he says it is not a hate crime. He's there and he knows the detail of the law better than I. But this rises above the "bad taste" he describes. A hint of violence in the political process is completely unacceptable and damaging to democratic society.

A similar event in Kentucky rises to a higher level. It rises to a higher level because there is a well documented history of violence and terror against black citizens in the south. We even have the well documented arrests of two white supremacists bent on killing Obama this year.

Both are are wrong. Both should be removed.
