I mentioned that I pay some cursory attention to global shipping. Here's an item about the steep decline in shipping rates as measured by the Baltic Dry Index. The demand for bulk commodities is way down. Consequently, the demand to ship the commodities is also down and the price for shipping has dropped nearly 90% since May.
