50 Game Suspension

Manny Ramirez will start a 50 game suspension today for failing a drug test.

The Dodgers have been undefeated at home so far this year and Manny is a huge part of the reason: batting average (.348), on-base percentage (.492) and slugging percentage (.641). It is going to be very hard for the Dodgers to maintain without Manny's bat. Juan Pierre, the likely replacement in the outfield is not nearly the hitter: batting average (.300), on-base percentage (.394) and slugging percentage (.387).

I continue to disagree with the drug policy that MLB is enforcing but at least they are enforcing it on superstars as well as the little guys.
