In The World of Haves

Despite his company losing $219MM last year, the Goodyear CEO will saw his total compensation go up 69% to $8.5 million.  His base salary rose 37% to about $930,000.  Of course, the rewards for firing 1,900 people is always great.

GM CFO Chris Liddle is stepping down.  He came from Silicon Valley about a year ago and took over the finances of a company that didn't have a master list of their bank accounts and took two weeks to find out how much cash they had on hand.  He's being replaced by Dan Ammann, the 38 year old GM vice president, finance and treasurer.  Thirty-eight years old.  What have you done with your life?
