Conspiracy Theory

I don't buy into so many of the conspiracy theories that float around. Especially when it comes to the government. Hell, they can't even deliver the mail on time. But Andrew Sullivan wonders aloud if the leaked Hadley and Rumsfeld memos came from Rumsfeld himself. The leaks have certainly hurt the Bush administration this past week. Many a talking head believes the meeting with Iraqi PM al-Maliki was fruitless in large part because of the Hadley memo that said the administration thinks al-Maliki is ineffective and not the right man for the job. Rummy is still the Defense Secretary and he was unceremoniously canned when the GOP lost the election. A little revenge, perhaps?
