Pearl Harbor Day

Today is the 65th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. I had a distant relative, a half-brother to my grandmother or something, that survived the attack. Family lore says he was aboard the USS Oklahoma when the attack started. He was able to get off ship before it rolled.

She was a beauty.












Here's a good read about the survivors reunion going on this year. It's an event that happens every five years. They are calling this the Final Reunion. These men are in the 80s and 90s. Most won't be around or won't be able to travel in another 5 years.
