The amount of money the EU spends to translate documents into the 20 official languages. The stat is from a National Geographic map a coworker has hung on his cube wall. The map is dated June 2005. It goes on to say that the French and Spanish were (are?) protesting a change that would only translate the documents into 3 languages: English, German, and French.
