1/4 Of My Life
This being Labor Day weekend marks an anniversary of a life style change. It was 9 years ago that I moved from the Chicago suburbs to the Lincoln Park neighborhood on the city's near north side.
9 years is a strange anniversary to take note of I admit but at 36 years of age that means I've lived fully 1/4 of my life in this place. And 4 buildings and 5 apartments later I'm still here and I couldn't imagine going back. I love the lifestyle (my car hasn't moved in two weeks), the vibrancy of the city, the people, the culture, everything.
I don't want to be snobbish and say the suburbs are boring or for a lower class of people. They aren't. But they are not for me. Here is where I hope to stay for good long while.
