Arichteture Boat Tour
I've known a bunch of people that have gone on them and have said how great they are. Its been on my to do list for a while and now I've done it. Let me tell you, it is absolutely a great tour.
My roommate has been seeing this woman that volunteers for Chicago Architecture Society. She does tours of the city and what not. She got the two of us a couple of tickets for the Saturday morning tour. The day (actually the entire weekend) was filled with perfect weather.
It was a 90 minute tour leaving from Michigan Avenue.
It went west to the fork where we took the north branch as far up as the south end of Goose Island. We turned around there to head back south. The boat went on down the south branch to the River City condos where we spun around again.
Back at the main branch we headed out to the lock, spun around and came back to dock at the Michigan Avenue Bridge.
I may have went a little camera crazy. On our 90 minute tour I took 91 photos. Here's the link to the complete set. (Some dupes after I made some black and white).
