Happy Birthday Chuck

I heard about this late last night. Yesterday, October 18th, was Chuck Berry's 81st birthday. As the Rock And Roll HOF states, "While no individual can be said to have invented rock and roll, Chuck Berry comes the closest of any single figure to being the one who put all the essential pieces together." Kieth Richards of the Rolling Stones, the greatest Rock and Roll band in my mind, sights Berry as one his biggest influences. The DJ on the radio last night said that, at least up to a few years ago, Berry was still performing once a month at a night club on the west side of St. Louis. If that's still true a road trip might be in order. I'm going to switch the MP3 player over to some Chuck right now.
