Harry Reid: Ass Hat

I've been arguing for a while that the Senate needed to bring back "real filibusters." That is, when a minority of Senators don't like a bill or a presidential nominee and they want to kill it with a filibuster they have to get up in front of the Senate and actually start talking. Instead, they now just have to "threaten a filibuster" and the bill or nomination doesn't come up for a vote. The critcism cuts both ways but it have been particularly painful for me watching Goppers kill bill after bill with the treat. Now I learn that Harry Reid (D - Nevada), the Senate Majority leader, is going to make Chris Dodd (D - Conn) conduct a "real filibuster" to kill the FISA bill that will grant retroactive immunity to the telecom companies. Where the fuck did the Democrats find this guy?!? Is there any wonder why the Democrats continue to lose.
