Sad

A cougar was shot and killed in Chicago's Roscoe Village earlier this evening. I'm happy that no people were injurred by the cat or the shooting. It's just sad that the animal had to be destroyed.

At this point no one knows if this is the same animal that has been spotted in North Chicago and Wilmette. I'm not a biologist but my guess is that it is the same animal. I'm happy that the big cats seem to be widening their range again but I doubt there are very many in the area.
