What ever the White Sox paid for Carlos Quentin was not enough. After spending two years in Arizona he's tearing up the AL this year. Every time I look he's got another homer or another game winning hit. The kid's on fire.

Sticking with the Sox for a moment, Konerko's 6th HR of the year. If the stadium didn't have a roof this ball may have went into orbit.

The Cardinals took 2 out of 3 from the Astros. These are big wins that keep us apace with the Cubs and in 2nd place. I'm still not convinced the Cardinals shouldn't be considered over achievers at this point but it is still good times in the The Cardinals nation.

That being said, Adam Wainwright is really, really good. I was watching the game last week that Matt Leach refers to and Wainwright looked simply unhittable. His curveball that night was just ridiculously nasty.

The Cubs completed a perfect 7-0 homestand on Sunday. My Cardinals are playing pretty good baseball but the northsiders are refusing to lose. But they have to take their show on the road now where they aren't nearly. And I continue to have mixed emotions about Edmonds playing for the Cubs. He had a good offensive series against the Rockies socking out 5 hits in two games.
