Not So Deep Thoughts
I grew up at the end of the Communist bloc in Europe. I graduated high school in June 1989, two months before the fall of the wall. I remember thinking early in my high school career that Communism couldn't work because of greed. People, I thought, wanted more goods, toys, and money than would ever be provided under the Communist system.
Now days, when I look at the GOP's stated economic philosophy, "Trickle Down Economics," I have the same thought. This will never work. If you give people more money they are going to hoard a good portion of it for themselves. Why risk it if it is being given to you for free? Greed will make them keep it.

I don't think any political idealogy is perfect.
But I still call myself a "socialist Democrat." :)
