Random Memory

Back in 2004 I remember an interview with U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky. She related the story of a meeting with President Bush where she mentioned an Illinois State Senator running for the U.S. Senate. Bush was taken aback by the name at first but then admitted he had never heard of the state Senator. Schakowsky told him that he would know of him soon enough. Bush called that one time state Senator today to congratulate him on winning the presidential election.

My memory wasn't exactly correct.
