Burris To Stay

That has to be the most bland statement I could make right now. Of course he's going to stay. His own ego (see son, Roland, and daughter, Rolanda) would not allow him to quit. And, like it or not, he was legally appointed by then Governor Gonad and seated as Illinois' junior senator. So Gov. Quinn backing off calls for special election to remove Burris was just a matter of time. I'm no lawyer and don't play one on TV, but I just don't see how it would be legal to hold an election to remove a sitting Senator off cycle.
