is the number of potholes recorded in Chicago's 311 system. Without good funding the city is apparently just doing temporary fills. I know last year I had some suspension work done on my 9 year old car. It wasn't cheap. This year I really try to avoid driving anywhere to avoid the potholes but I have to on occasion. I'm not sure that more damage hasn't been done this year.
