Costa Rica. It's Teh Awesome.
I've been back since Sunday morning. We left Costa Rica on Saturday afternoon and spent the night in Miami.
One week was far, far too short but it was a great vacation. Extremely relaxing. For the first couple of days we did nada. Got up. Walk the beach. Eat. Lounge. Drink. I think all of us needed it.
One day half way through the week we went a on a zip line tour. The 45 minute tour wasn't a slow, crawl through the trees and look at the flora and fauna. It was a get on the zip line and GO! Mas Rapido! Mas Rapido!
We did run into some Howler monkeys though and the views from the tree tops on top of the hills were incredible.
But, when The Lawyer asked me what was the best part it had to be the people. I'd never stayed in anything like a hostel before and the rooms we stayed in were fairly private. Everyone that stayed there was extremely cool and laid back. We started inviting them up to the deck outside our rooms and we'd just hang, toss back some drinks, listen to or play some music and just BS and tell stories.
We met Nate, from Toronto, who'd been in town since January surfing.
We met Dino and George, Nate's friends from western Ontario.
Helen from Ireland who somehow missed our parties until the end of the week.
Ricard and Amelia from Sweden.
Paige from Ontario.
Italia from Ithaca who used to live in Italy.
Fred and Yael (sp?) from Toronto.
Tiffany, from San Fran, who worked at the hostel.
Stephanie and Stephanie, roommates from Munich, Germany.
Julia and her friend (Hannah? Heather?) from Dartmoth.
Valerie from Switzerland
And of course, we surfed.
Tom's already booked a room at the hostel for August. I wonder if there's anyway I can make it back with him?
