But Dancing With The Stars Was On!!!

A Texas judge refused to keep her court room open 20 extra minutes to accept and hear the appeal of a death penalty verdict on the day the condemned man was scheduled to be killed. Without the appeal the man was killed by the state that night. This must be viewed in the light that the U.S. Supreme Court had agreed to hear an appeal that lethal injections are cruel and unusual punishments. Multiple scheduled lethal injections have been stayed until the SCOTUS issues a ruling in the case. Something this judge was almost assuredly aware of. And if she wasn't, she sure as hell should have been. But apparently, she's a hanging judge. She didn't accept the best forensic evidence of our time as good enough to warrant a new trial in another case so we shouldn't expect anything else.
