What the heck are garlic scapes??
They're on the left, next to the carrots above the dill.
They are stems from the garlic plant. I've never seen them in grocery store but then again I've never looked for them either.
They definitely taste of garlic but not quite as pungent as garlic bulbs. I use them pretty much the same as garlic bulbs and compensate for the milder flavor as desired.
