We never had a chance.

• Trent Lott said: They all look the same to me.
  
• 2 GOP members of the Intelligence Committee couldn't say there was a split in Islam between Sunni and Shi'ites
  
• Incoming Intel Committee Chairman Reyes doesn't know if al Qaeda is Sunni or Shi'ite
  
• The Baghdad embassy has only 6 people that speak fluent Arabic and only a couple dozen with any familiarity with the language. The embassy has 1,000 employees.
  

It has been 5 years since al Qaeda attacked us. We've been in Iraq for 3+ years. There's no excuse for this lack of knowledge. We're not serious about winning this war. Official Washington appears to have never been serious.

Time to get the Hell out of Dodge.
