In and In and In

Hillary, Bill Richardson, and Sam Brownback all anounced the formation of Presidential Exploratory Committees this weekend.

John Iwanski sums Hillary up as well as I ever could

Brownback scares me a lot. He thinks he has a constituency of one. He's seen as an underdog at this point but don't dismiss him. He's denounced the Iraq Plus-Up surge and he is the closest to the Religious Right that exerts so much influence in the primary.

I think Bill Richardson might be a strong underdog candidate in the Democratic field. He's from a Southwestern state where Democrats made big gains this last November. He's of Hispanic decent which could bring out a big new voting block. Remember that Nevada (Southwest, big Hispanic population) will hold it's caucus between Iowa and New Hampshire. And, to the best of my knowledge, he's a centrist. That could hurt him in a primary but if he can get into general he would be a strong candidate.

An interesting theory I've heard... the Democrats are putting up so many "first" candidates - that Hillary, the first woman president, Barak, the first black president, and now Richardson, the first Hispanic president, that the best White Guy might make it through the primary.
