Living In The Past
This morning I picked up a hard copy of the Chicago Tribune to work on the crossword puzzle. At the convenient store counter I was making sure that the Tempo section was in there and handed the clerk $0.50.
"Seventy-five cents, sir," he said.
"Huh? What?"
Terribly verbose of me, don't you think? Seriously though, where was my mind this morning? The daily Trib hasn't sold for $0.50 for a long time now.
