Next up, Detroit starting Saturday. Detroit is the better team, but so were the Mets. Detroit swept the Cards in July. But the Mets swept the Cards in September. We got a chance!

Actually, counter to the conventional wisdom, I think the Cards have a better chance against the Tigers than the Mets did. The Mets pitching is decimated by injury. The Cards pitching has peeked in the playoffs. Suppan has been unhittable. Carpenter and Weaver have been very good. And, holy shit, the youngsters in the bullpen have been incredible!

I'm predicting Detroit in 6 but we got a chance.
