ELECTION DAY - Ballot Initiatives

It's election day. Here's a couple of thoughts. First, on my way to the polling station I passed a guy putting up signs that said "Vote Yes on Linoclon Park Sustained Development." When I finally voted the measure was not on my ballot. Was this guy putting up signs in the wrong precint? Was there a ballot problem? I didn't know anything about the initiative so I didn't have any thoughts on it.

Other initiatives were for Illinois to pass a law outlawing sale of assault rifles and .50 caliber rifles. One was for a raise in the Illinois minimum wage to $7.50 from $6.50. I voted yes for both. There was a third that I already have forgotten that I voted against.

UPDATE: The third ballot initiative asked if the U.S. should start an immediate withdraw from Iraq. As stated, I voted no.
