Tomorrow's Election

I haven't made a final decision on whom I will vote for tomorrow. I will not vote for Gov. Gonad. I've been leaning Green but Topinka really isn't that bad of a person. If she just hadn't put that jackass* Birkett on the ticket with her. Whitney's outing as a former communist party member did not sit well with me. I understand conversions in political philosophy. I used to be a Republican. But a communist? Uhg! JBT still might get my vote.

Peraica, on the other hand, will get my vote. I refuse to support the annoitment of an underqualified political hack to a job he would likely hold for a lifetime. A lifetime spent repaying those who installed him.

For Treasurer, I will be voting GOP as well. (Believe it or not, I'm a DEMOCRAT!). Giannoulias just hasn't satisfied me with his non-answer to accusations about questionable loans and connections to organized crime. They may be inaccurate but they haven't been answered. How can anyone support a potentially corrupt figure to be the state banker? Especially when the family of the candidate in question owns a bank!

Other than that, I have some research to do. I rely on the Tribune to tell me which judges to vote against retaining. I just have no reasonable way of getting that info. Other races I will probably lean towards my party line.

* I feel I can say this because I have met the man and I've played many a game of basketball against him. That was before he was even states attorney. I don't like him and I never have and I don't like his socially conservative politics.
