Veto War Funding?

Am I the only one that doesn't think Shrub will veto the funding legislation? He'll just issue a signing statement that says he doesn't have to follow the law. It will only be about the 5,245,643 he has done that.

The politics of the veto just doesn't make sense. The Congress is allocating the money to fund the war that the majority of the public has turned against. The Pentagon says that without the money it will start scaling back in 30 days, leaving troops in theater beyond their withdraw date. On the tail of the Walter Reed scandal it seems to me that Bush has to take the money now. Then when the deadline comes and goes he points to the signing statement and just ignores Congress. Hell, he might -- might! -- be on firm Constitutional ground on this one.
