A weekend series against the hapless Cubs does not a season or turnaround make, but...dot.dot..

Walk off home runs in extra innings on Saturday and Sunday have me hopeful that the greatest player in baseball is coming out of a two month slump.

Thanks to the efforts of Matt Holiday and, surprisingly, Lance Berkman the Cardinals have the most wins and most runs scored in baseball.

If those two can keep up their production (both are down with injuries) and Pujols breaks out of his season long slump we may just have a chance at the playoffs. A chance I thought we lost when Adam Wainwright went down for the season in Spring Training.
