Cards Top 4
The Cardinals continue to pleasantly surprise me this season. After splitting a pair of two game series this week with the Brewers and the Pirates they are only 1.5 games behind the division leading Chicago Cubs.
Looking at last night's stats I see that our first 4 batters are all hitting over .300. I know that BA is not the best measure of offensive output but it's not useless either. I thought the Cards offense was being under rated this year but the numbers are better than I thought they would be.
Skip Schumaker .329
Brian Barton .343
Albert Pujols .377
Ryan Ludwick .328
Honorable mention to Chris Duncan who often is in the top four hitting at .292.

"they are only 1.5 games behind the division leading Chicago Cubs."
:-)
That would be "behind" as in behind.
0.5 games today. The Cubs do play better with their multi-million dollar, vanity out fielder on the DL.
