I'm Just Plum Confused

Really?!? House Republicans defeat the bill to extend the date of the mandatory conversion to digital TV.

1. Why?
2. How did the Dems let the House GOP, the ones' with no power whatsoever, defeat the bill? Especially after unanimous passage in the Senate.
3. Do the goppers think this is good politics? I see two groups being effected by this. Rural voters who are Republican base voters that are about to lose their TV signal because of the GOP. Poor, urbanites who don't vote GOP anyway.
